Samsung biggest software update, One UI 7 is set to be released alongside with it's next S25 series smartphones in early January 2025 with new features such as AI notifications and much more. However, the release of the next Samsung Galaxy S25 series of smartphones might be delayed due to delays in development. Sources indicate that Samsung's development schedule has faced delays leaving both developers and beta testers waiting for the One UI 7 beta till now. This may impact Samsung's release program that is set to happen early next year. As we wait for the beta and stable releases of One UI 7, here are a few new features you should expect in One UI 7.
Samsung is set to release new redesigned icons with One UI 7. This icons is set to give clear difference between different apps and bring more aesthetic appeal design. Samsung is also set to release customizable icons with also dark mode icons just as with IOS 18. Google should follow this trend since most of their apps looks the same. Some of the redesigned icons include gallery, camera, calls and messages.
With One UI 7, Samsung is set to release a new feature with circle to search to help with kids home works. This feature is not yet released but is set to be released with One UI 7. The circle to search is set to help kids to solve their problems instead of solving it for them. The circle to search feature will provide examples, videos and results from the web on how to solve the equation or homework. On the same note, Samsung is planning to release new parental control features with One UI 7 with the ability to track your child's location and what websites to be allowed to visit and what sites should be blocked from accessing.
One UI 7 is set to use Artificial Intelligence to add depth to photos and pictures through "live Effects" as well the "sketch to image " feature that was released to Samsung Fold 6 and flip with One UI 6.1.1. Using the Pro Visual Engine, Galaxy smartphones can use AI zoom to bring out clearer zoom shots even at 100x. With Sketch to image, Generative AI can use your sketch to produce images in different styles including in 3D images, sketches and watercolor.
