We've seen what the AI and robotics could do. Where does that put us? What do we do? Does that mean AI and robotics will replace us?
The percentage of intelligence that is not human is increasing and we are slowly representing the smaller percentage. With passing years, the sophistication of AI is growing dramatically. The number of human developing AI is also Increasing and the number of attendance of AI conferences is doubling every year.
Progressively over the years, AI and robotics have tremendously improved. We've seen the things it could do, from simple tasks to complex tasks. And the fact it is improving everyday make us wonder what will we do if it is taking everything. A lot of people have lost jobs since AI produces a much better output with just a matter of time.
What do researchers and scientists say about AI and robotics?
According to developers of AI, AI is with a vision developed to simplify the way things are done. This is could be in the industries and even surprisingly at home. With your voice, you could turn on the lights, tv and so much more. AI can do a lot more with just a command of your voice.
AI can be used for greater good, to create a positive impact, to develop and improve the work ability of how things are done. But the real question comes here, if the Artificial intelligence become greater than the human intelligence, what will human beings do if AI can do anything?
Could AI and robotics displace you?
Well, let's face the question.
The danger of AI is much greater than the danger of nuclear warheads. ~ Elon Musk
Take this video into consideration.
What approach should we take?
We cannot say AI should be stopped because we have seen the good side of it. A better approach is that no one organisation or a small set of people should have control over advance AI technology because that could be very dangerous. People could use them in every bad way, I mean if you didn't mean to use it in a very bad way, someone could steal it from you and use for whatever bad reason.
We don't know what would happen if there would be a intelligence that is greater than human intelligence. I mean if AI is smarter than a person what do we do? What's our job then?
When something is a danger to the public, there should be some kind of regulations. If we have regulations in things that are risk to the public such as aircraft, car agency and etc, this should also under fall beneath it. There should be a body that has insights and oversight making sure that everyone is developing AI safely.
If humanity collectively decides that developing AI is the right move, then we should do it very carefully in a way that doesn't make us regret our choices and create a world that we don't want.
Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority; still more when you superadd the tendency of the certainty of corruption by authority.Despotic power is always accompanied by corruption of morality.Authority that does not exist for Liberty is not authority but force.Everybody likes to get as much power as circumstances allow, and nobody will vote for a self-denying ordinance.Absolute power demoralizes. ~ John Dalberg- Acton, 1887
